What belongs here

You can criticise systems, university structures, housing conditions, courses, student organisations, common behaviours, and student culture. You can also share humour, appreciation, uncertainty, and ordinary moments.

Okay to share

“The way deadlines cluster across courses makes it hard to do thoughtful work.”

Keep people unidentifiable

Do not include names, contact details, addresses, room numbers, usernames, or distinctive personal details. Do not paste or closely retell a private group-chat exchange. Removing a name does not automatically make a story anonymous. A role, exact date, small introduction group, unusual incident, and programme together may point to one person.

Too identifying

“The only guest lecturer in our Tuesday tutorial said this after the 14 March exam.”

Safer version

“A lecturer’s comment after an exam made me feel dismissed.”

What we will not publish

  • Targeted harassment, threats, or hate speech
  • Personal gossip or attempts to embarrass someone
  • Serious accusations against an identifiable individual
  • Names, addresses, usernames, contact details, or identifying combinations
  • Private messages or group-chat exchanges participants could recognise
  • Content whose main purpose is dating, gossip, or sending a message to one person

Moderation

Moderators may broaden labels, remove identifying context, add a sensitive-content notice, ask for edits, or reject a submission. Criticism is not removed simply because it is uncomfortable.
