What if I like psychology but do not want to become a therapist?
Whenever I mention psychology, people assume the career is therapy. I respect that work, but it is not the future I picture for myself. I am interested in research, behaviour, organisations, technology, policy, and how environments shape decisions. The degree seems broad enough for those interests, but broad can also mean difficult to explain. Are there older students who began without a clinical goal? Which courses or experiences helped you find a direction? I would rather hear the complicated routes than another sentence about psychology opening many doors without telling me what is behind them.
